State of The Town of Forest Park Address from Mayor George H. Smith

Greetings to the residents of Forest Park and all who tune in to our website!  We hope you have a prosperous, healthy, and safe year 2026.

There has been personnel movement within Townhall, and so I will bring you up-to-date on our employees’ latest assignments and introduce you to our new employees.

In the police department, the Trustee Board approved the promotion of Lenon Williams from Police officer to Interim Police Chief. Interim Chief Williams has previously served with the Oklahoma City and Guthrie police departments. His promotion was effective January 1, 2026. He replaces Dwayne Doolittle who resigned December 2025.

Corporal Renelle “Tony” Wright was promoted to sergeant and will have responsibility for shift assignments and other duties as assigned, serving as the right-hand man for Chief Williams. Sgt Wright brings to the table 11 years of service to the Forest Park police force. Tony has multiple years of service in safety and security as he serves as the safety and security manager for the Millwood Public School System.

In Other personnel moves, Shawn Mitchell, lead-building maintenance was promoted to Public Works Superintendent. Shawn has served in the public works department for more than three years and has been a valuable asset to Forest Park and is well respected in the Oklahoma County District #1 public works department.

Kalease Carter was hired in July 2025 as Public Works Associate and will report to Shawn Mitchell.

Adding to the General Administration staff is Nadiah Howell who was hired as Deputy Court Clerk/Office Assistant, coming on board in October 2025. Nadiah reports to Alma Motte, Court Clerk.
